Using an asphalt grinder of any type on chip seal, thin or badly alligatored asphalt has almost always yielded a lot of broken edges and big chunks in the finished product.

We turned our engineers loose onto this problem to see how they could solve it. The result is our new containment system. This accessory is designed to fit onto the bottom of the new “500 series” of Zippers, the AZ-600B, AZ-300B and even the AZ-480HD and AZ-360HD.

This attachment is designed to contain asphalt chunks that would normally be ejected when grinding thin or alligatored asphalt. By containing them, the chunks are further pulverized against multiple breaker bars inside, producing a finer result.

The adjustable baffle on the back of the system allows you to decide how fine the discharge will be.
