Mechanical Base Stabilization

Aggregate is spread on the surface of the road at a predetermined depth and mixed into the base for additional support.
Road can usually be repaved with a thinner wearing course because of the stronger base
Additional improvements can be made with the addition of granular materials such as virgin aggregates, reclaimed granular materials (crushed Portland cement), or Recycled Asphalt Pavement (RAP). The additional material can be spread over the road and then Zipped into the road in a one-step process. A wearing course is then applied over the top.
